  3. Mrs Beef was the butcher's wife.        
  4. 'Make some more sausages, Will.'        
  5. 'Rub-a-dub-dub,' said Will.

  7. Mrs Bun was the baker's wife.   
  8. 'Make some more currant buns, Alf.'     
  9. 'Rub-a-dub-dub,' said Alf.
  10.  
  11. Ruby was the candlestick maker's sister.        
  12. 'Make some more candlesticks, Tom.'     
  13. 'Rub-a-dub-dub,' said Tom.
  14. 'No more sausages,' said Will.  
  15.  
  16. 'I'm running away for a year and a day. 
  17. I'm going to lie in the sun and eat lettuce.'
  18. 'No more currant buns,' said Alf.       
  19.  
  20. 'I'm running away for a year and a day.
  21.  I'm going to lie in the sun with my eyes shut.'
  22. 'No more candlesticks,' said Tom.

  24. 'I'm running away for a year and a day. 
  25. I'm going to lie in the sun and sing songs.'
  26. 'You're too fat to run for a year and a day,' they said.

  28. Will had a little think.        
  29. 'Well, I'll walk then,' said Will.
  30. 'You're too fat to walk for a year and a day,' they said.

  32. Alf had a little think. 
  33. 'Well, we'll sail then,' said Alf.
  34. But has anybody got a boat?  
  35.    
  36. To sail away for a year and a day, you need a boat.     
  37. They had a little think, but no thoughts came.
  38. The butcher hasn't got a boat.  The baker hasn't got a boat.

  40. But what's this?   It looks like ... a...
  41. Rub-a-dub-dub...        Tom's got a TUB!        
  42. But will they all fit inside?

  44. There's no need to run; there's no need to walk.        
  45. They can sail away in the tub...        
  46. to lie in the sun and eat lettuce.

  48. No more sausages, no more buns, no more candlesticks.   
  49. 'We'll sail away for a year and a day...

  53. The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker:
